Wayne R. Brantley, BS, MS Ed, PMP, CRP, CPLP
Mr. Brantley is the Senior Director of Professional Education for the University Alliance. He has over 26 years of experience in the Air Force as a Project Manager for technology training and curriculum development. Mr. Brantley has taught and consulted on project management, quality management, leadership, curriculum development and return on investment to Fortune 500 companies worldwide and is a sought-after speaker on these and other topics.
Mr. Brantley is a doctoral candidate in Computer Information Technology at Nova Southeastern University. He received both his MS and BS in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute, a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) through the American Society on Training and Development and a Certified Return on Investment Professional (CRP) through the ROI Institute.
Susan E. Burrell, BA, JD
Ms. Burrell is President of Ecowise-Solutions, LLC, a sustainability strategy company that provides organizations with consulting services for the development, design and implementation of sustainable business initiatives. She previously served as Senior Vice President for the general insurance Product Development division of American International Group (AIG), where she developed products and services that address sustainability-related risks. She currently has several patents pending for carbon emission trading risk-transfer methodologies.
Ms. Burrell holds a JD from Georgetown University as well as a BA in Economics from Colgate University. She has more than 16 years of experience as a corporate attorney and is a member of the Bar in Florida, New Jersey and Texas.
Matt Cole, BS, MS
Mr. Cole is the Manager of Marketing, Supply and Logistics for L’Oreal USA. He was previously employed as a Supply Planning Manager at leading beverage distributor Diageo, where he was responsible for production and planning of the company’s U.S. and Canadian beverage distribution. Prior to that, he worked as a Supply Chain Planner for international manufacturer Unilever and had a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, where he oversaw administrative, supply, foodservice and logistics support.
Mr. Cole is a graduate of Northeastern University with an MS in Engineering Management. He also earned a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Ron Crabtree, BA, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP, MLSSBB
Mr. Crabtree is President of MetaOps, Inc., a diversified training and consulting services company that specializes in strategic business transformation. He is an internationally recognized expert in leading-edge business process improvement methodologies, change management and communications, with 20 years of experience in implementing Lean, Six Sigma and other best practices. He is a world-renowned public speaker and author, and currently writes for the “Lean Culture” department of APICS magazine.
Mr. Crabtree holds a BA in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor College. He is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) through APICS, and is a Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (MLSSBB).
Jill Gafner, BS
Ms. Gafner is Principal and Owner of Global Training Experts, where she specializes in assisting clients with their training needs and performance measures. Her expertise is in motivational strategies and public speaking, and she has over 10 years of experience in training and coaching tier-one automotive suppliers during her employment with Chrysler LLC. While at Chrysler, she worked in production purchasing, international sales, supplier delivery and production supplier quality.
Ms. Gafner received her BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She is certified in Transactional Green Belt and Value Stream Mapping, and holds a Leadership Certificate from Dale Carnegie.
Marilyn Gettinger, BS, MBA, CPM
Ms. Gettinger is President and Founder of New Directions Consulting Group, which offers an employee-collaborative approach to defining, implementing and managing supply chain processes. She previously held key supply chain management roles with The Body Shop and Bristol-Myers. She is a program coordinator and instructor for the supply chain management certificate programs at Kean University and New Jersey Institute of Technology, and serves as chair and instructor for Union County College’s project management certificate program.
Ms. Gettinger’s degrees include an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BS in Business and Materials Management from Bloomfield College. She holds a Materials Management Certification, and is a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) through the Institute for Supply Management.
Jim Hall, BBA
Mr. Hall is Managing Director for Waste Management’s Green Squad, a sustainability consulting firm that helps customers identify and implement sustainable business practices that create efficiencies, reduce costs and enhance brands. He has more than 14 years of experience in the environmental services industry, where he has primarily focused on designing and developing programs that enhance customer experiences, improve business value and promote sustainability across large and complex organizations.
Mr. Hall holds a BBA in Management Information Systems/Economics from James Madison University. He is a graduate of the Executive Program in Sustainability Management at the Presidio Graduate School, and he has also completed training in the General Theory of Innovation and QFD Black BeltSM from the Quality Function Deployment Institute.
Joseph Kirchner, BS, MBA, CPIM
Mr. Kirchner has over 30 years of experience in supply chain management across a variety of industries, including automotive, chemical, electronics, food processing and consulting. His areas of expertise encompass production planning and control, forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, and sales and operations planning. He currently serves as Materials Manager for Smith & Nephew, a major pharmaceutical products manufacturer.
Mr. Kirchner earned his MBA from the University of South Carolina and holds a BS in Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is also Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through APICS – The Association for Operations Management.
Alice LeBlanc, BA, MS
Ms. LeBlanc is Director of Environmental and Economic Consulting at Karbone, an environmental credit brokerage, finance and carbon advisory company. She is trained as an economist and has 20 years of experience in environmental protection and sustainable development. Ms. LeBlanc formerly headed the Office of Environment and Climate Change in the Corporate Affairs Department of American International Group (AIG), and has also worked as a Senior Economist at the Environmental Defense Fund and Senior Vice President at the Chicago Climate Exchange.
Ms. LeBlanc holds an MS in Economics from the University of Houston and a BA in Mathematics from Smith College. She is a member of the Society of Women Geographers, Women’s Foreign Policy Group and New York City Panel on Climate Change, and serves on the Board of Advisors to the Appalachian Mountain Club and Karbone.
Mickey Lee, BA, MBA
Ms. Lee is Strategic Director of Carbon Concierge, which provides free education and paid consulting to businesses seeking to mitigate carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions. Applying her background in marketing media and social development, Ms. Lee conducts educational outreach through multimedia and print communications as well as program development linked to environmental and social equity. She has published a number of articles and white papers, and has spoken at National Sustainable Business Development conferences.
Ms. Lee earned her MBA in Sustainable Development from Bainbridge Graduate Institute and a BA in Humanities from Washington State University. She is the recipient of a TogetherGreen Fellowship from the National Audubon Society and Toyota.
Gary Marcus, BS, JD, LLM
Mr. Marcus is the Principal Shareholder of Gary Marcus, Attorney at Law, PC. He has over 30 years of experience in state, local and federal contracting and is a frequent lecturer on government contracting topics for industry associations such as the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the Association of Government Accountants. He also teaches courses on government contract procurement law at Hofstra University and Villanova University, and conducts seminars on government contracting and other related topics.
Mr. Marcus received his JD from Brooklyn Law School and has an LLM in Corporate Law from New York University. He also holds a BS in Accounting from Hunter College.
Mary Ellen Mika, BS, MA, LEED AP, CPM
Ms. Mika is the Manager of Environment and Energy within the supply chain management department at Steelcase, the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer. In her current role, she leads global sustainability efforts for the SCM department, including “green supplier” programs. Ms. Mika is a renowned sustainability expert with more than 20 years of experience, writing and speaking throughout the world on topics related to energy, the environment and social responsibility. She is also co-chair of the West Michigan Sustainable Purchasing Consortium.
Ms. Mika holds an MA in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and a BS in Biochemistry from Michigan State University. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, as well as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) through the Institute for Supply Management.
Rebecca Mulford Smith, BS, MBA
Ms. Mulford Smith is a supply chain planning professional with over 10 years of experience in consumer packaged goods and a strong background in project management, financial analysis and operations. She is currently employed as a Demand Planning Manager by leading beverage distributor Diageo.
Ms. Mulford Smith is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, where she received an MBA with an emphasis in Operations Management. She also holds a BS in Business and Economics, Accounting, from Lehigh University.
C. Lynn Northrup, BBA, CPA, CPIM
Mr. Northrup is an author, business advisor and consultant with over 40 years of experience and professional expertise in operations, performance measurement and strategic cost management. He has held a variety of management and executive positions – including Controller, Vice President of Finance, and President and Chief Operating Officer – across a wide range of manufacturing and service industries.
Mr. Northrup earned his BBA from Clarkson University and is a licensed CPA in multiple states. He is also Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through APICS, The Association for Operations Management.
Neil O’Connell, BA
Mr. O’Connell is a veteran supply chain and logistics executive and President of Interactive Consulting. He has helped create industry best practices that enable clients to free up cash while improving customer satisfaction and lessening climate impact. He previously served as the Chief Technology Officer of StonePath Group, a supply chain and logistics provider that grew from $0 to $350 million in revenue in three years. Prior roles included North American Supply Chain Leader at Oracle and Vice President of Business Logistics at American President Lines (APL).
Mr. O’Connell holds a BA in Management from Columbia Pacific University.
Gwen Sheinfeld, BA, MS
Ms. Sheinfeld is Director of Sustainability for the New York City office of Healthy Buildings Solutions (HBS), where she works with clients to analyze and implement opportunities for achieving sustainability. She was previously employed as a Sustainability Strategist at Cushman & Wakefield (C&W), developing programs and policies to be implemented across the company’s managed real estate portfolio. Her prior experience includes consulting with a wide range of businesses on sustainability practices, environmental city planning and environmental education.
Ms. Sheinfeld holds an MS in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University and a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
Jeff Sipes, BS, MS, LSC
Mr. Sipes is Principal and Owner of Back2Basics, LLC. He has over 20 years of consulting experience and specializes in assisting manufacturing clients with Lean, operations improvement and manufacturing strategy. Mr. Sipes gained industrial experience through his employment with Caterpillar, where he was a Machinist Apprentice, Advanced Management Trainee and Production Supervisor. He also served as Vice President of Operations for a privately owned manufacturing company.
Mr. Sipes received his MS in Industrial Administration from Purdue University. He also holds a BS in Business Administration from Illinois State University. He is Lean Silver Certified (LSC) through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing.
Adam J. Smargon, BS, MS
Mr. Smargon is an environmental academic at the University of Delaware, where he is pursuing a PhD in Energy and Environmental Philosophy. He has experience and practical knowledge of many aspects of environmental management, and has previously served as an environmental manager and college professor. His faculty appointments include positions at the University of New Hampshire, Northern Essex Community College, Southern Vermont College and Bryant & Stratton College.
Mr. Smargon holds two graduate degrees: an MS in Environmental Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Resource Administration and Management from the University of New Hampshire. He earned a BS in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida.
Doug Zopfi, BS, MBA
Mr. Zopfi is Principal Supply Chain Consultant for CIBER, Inc., an international system integration consultancy and outsourcing company. He works with companies to identify and implement initiatives to streamline their supply chains in a manner that reduces cycle time, minimizes inventory and improves bottom-line financial performance. He previously served as Director of Global Supply Chain for the Mopar Parts Division of Chrysler LLC, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of a $4 billion supply chain of suppliers, distribution centers and transportation providers.
Mr. Zopfi earned an Executive MBA from the Eli Broad School of Management at Michigan State University and holds a BS in History from Bryan College.
